Boarding at Flatt Farm

Our aim primarily is to provide your dogs with the best of care. We are well staffed, all of us having experience in dog care. We have a daily routine for the dogs which gives them a good foundation and this helps them to soon settle in with us.

What We Offer

Our 5 Star rated Kennels are heated, well-lit and made to the maximum size as per the regulations they can comfortably fit 4/5 dogs in for larger dog families.

We provide plastic beds with Faux fur bedding and a sheet of vet bed and water bowl.

Your Dogs are exercised from 7.30am through till 6:00pm they will go out for at least 3/4 walks per day in our totally enclosed field.

We are regulated by the Animal Welfare Act this ensures we provide your Dogs with enrichment and stimulation whilst in our care, this includes activities from group play, playing Football, Tennis and lots of cuddles and love given throughout every dogs stay.

We will happily administer medication as per your instructions free of charge

We ask you to provide your dog’s food for the duration of its stay we hold Breakfast at 8am and Dinner at 4pm

We provide your dog/s with biscuit treats throughout the day and a bedtime biscuit.

We have facilities to store Raw feed.

You do not need to provide bowls, or bedding unless you want to bring it.

We ask all owners to please take their leads with them here at Flatt Farm we understand that leads are a personal item and we wouldn’t like to lose it.

Please ensure your dog brought into reception on your lead until handed over. Your Dog is your responsibility until we have it inside the secure area.

Vaccination Information

Dogs cannot be accepted without a current vaccination certificate for the following, Canine Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis, we also insist upon immunisation against Kennel Cough (Bordetella) this is a separate vaccination given for the Kennel Cough and is not included in the booster vaccination, the kennel cough vaccination should be given at least 3 weeks prior to boarding so if this is not possible please ring and speak to Emma. Upon arrival at the kennels you are required to bring the vaccination certificate with you showing up to date vaccinations.

First Class Care

At Flatt Farm Boarding Kennels we pride ourselves in doing things properly so that we can ensure your dogs have first class care in a warm yet professional environment. What do we mean by this?

We only accept an appropriate number of dogs at any given time and only allow socialising in comfortable, manageable numbers

Flatt Farm has 25 kennels but we do not book them all out at once to ensure the best standard of care for the dogs in our charge

Certain breads of dog are not accepted for boarding including; Pit Bull Terriers, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fisa Brasileiro (Brazilian Mastiff),American Bulldog, Japanese Akita.

Please ensure your dog brought into reception on your lead until handed over. Your Dog is your responsibility until we have it inside the secure area.

Directions

Coming from Kendal, when you reach Grayrigg village, take the left turning next to the church. Travel down the lane, crossing over the cattle grid and small bridge, bearing left.

Meeting another cattle grid brings you onto a country lane. Continue for 3/4 mile where you will come to a cross roads. Continue straight for another 1/4 mile and you will find us on yourright.
